Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, woundcare, immunisations and routine injections. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears. Nurse appointments can be booked in advance.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as blood pressure measurement, ECG's and dressings. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. Healthcare Assistant appointments can be booked in advance.

Pharmacists

Our in-house Pharmacist will look after all aspects of medications, including: annual medication reviews, high risk medication monitoring and reconciling hospital/clinic medication changes as well as general medication queries Pre-bookable appointments (telephone call) are available to pre-book in advance and can be booked over the phone. If you receive a medication review request with your prescription, please try to book as soon as possible to ensure your prescription is kept up to date.
